It was something we totally didn’t want, bad food, that is. I think our food was pretty good. Better than most, but it was the #1 thing on our list that we wanted, next to you know, gettin hitched.
Here’s how I feel about wedding food (as a guest): as long as I’m not strapped to a table in a formal setting with really bad food, then I really don’t care. I can totally load up on finger foods and cheap booze and be SO HAPPY -as long as it’s a fun time. I think the funnest wedding I ever went to had some kooky fried chicken truck deliver a bunch of stuff. It wasn’t good, but it was fun!

So your wedding isn’t what I would choose? Well, your marriage isn’t either. We’re different, dur! Sorry I do not mix the perfect cosmo. Drink something else, don’t like the main course, eat more cake.

The funny thing is that, after planning a wedding of my own, I will NEVER comment unfavourably on someone else’s day. But half of the women that b*tch about other people’s weddings are married already. Where is their compassion??

@cupcake, I get it I do. I think where you are coming from is valid. I sometimes feel like we have so much that we are judged on, in regards to our wedding, where does it stop? I also realize that because I’m in thick of it and it’s our money being spent that I’m uber sensitive right now.

Right. I’ve complained about this before. It’s mean. I wish I would stop. But, what makes me crazy is that the bad food I eat is always so hella expensive (you just know) and then I get frustrated for the bride and groom that they had to spend so much on bad food. I want to kick the caterer’s butt for them. So it’s not that I am complaining about the bride and groom choosing bad food. I am complaining that they were screwed over by a thoughtless caterer.
