Um, you guys, where did July go? It seems like yesterday I was wringing my hands worrying over chairs and pleading with the Universe to make sure I didn’t trip on my way down the aisle and fall in the pool. And now, it’s August*.
I’m still trying to get back into the swing of things, unpack from our 2.5 week honeymoon wandering around Australia, and resist emailing One Love Photo every 2 seconds to see if our photos are ready yet.
So the thing is, I’m not sure what to write about the wedding, or even where to start. It’s leaving me feeling, I don’t know, self conscious? I got married. It’s all so big still. I’m processing. The other day I wrote out my new name** and stared at it for a good full minute wondering, who is that person. Is that me? That’s me!
Big, you guys.
I promise stories are coming soon. I’m not just being a big procrastinator.
Ok, ok, maybe a wee bit is procrastination. I got married but I’m still ME. Even if I do have a new last name now.

*Well, ok ALMOST August. You know what I mean.
**Yes, I changed my name.

Don’t worry — we’ll still be here when procrastination is over . . .
Would you like for me to call you photographer for you? Equally dying to see.
Now, I’ve only been married 9 months now, but I had to sign my OLD name on an official document last week and it tripped me out. LIke I had totally forgotten how to write the name I’d been signing fo 30-something years. WAY weird.
Glad you’re back!
Eeee I am full of anticipation!
yay! congrats! the new name thing is weird. i feel very junior high like i should get out my notebook and practice writing his name
I’m so happy and can’t wait to hear what you have to say. But I understand that getting married is BIG and might take a little time getting back into the swing of things. And also deciding what and how much you want to say about it all. I’ll be waiting until then.
